GAME SUMMARY
  • Mid-America Christian jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first after Kisbel Vizcaya singled to left to start off the frame before advancing all the way to third on an errant back pick to first by the catcher. Emylee Campbell then lofted a flyball to right that was deep enough to bring in Vizcaya from third.
  • After the Evangels retired two of the first three batters in the top of the second, Science & Arts put together a massive two-out rally as Jadyn Goucher's two-run homer to right-center started a string five-straight batters reaching safely as a Malea McMurtrey RBI single to center and a Kinzie Williams RBI single to third stretched the USAO lead to 4-1.
  • The Evangels managed to get a run back in the bottom of the third when Campbell launched a one-out double to left center and Serena Rodriguez drew a walk before Isabel Ray came up clutch for MACU by dumping a two-out single into shallow right, bringing in Campbell to cut the deficit in-half at 4-2.
  • The Drovers immediately swung back with another four-run frame in the top of the fourth as RBI base knocks by Taylor Cronic, Kinzie Williams and a Sierra Selfridge RBI groundout made up the scoring before a dropped flyball error in right brought in the fourth run of the frame, setting the score to 8-2.
  • Sophie Williams provided her own support in the top of the seventh with a two-run homer to left center made it a 10-2 game before Cronic's RBI single to right wrapped up the scoring at 11-2.
GAME NOTES
  • Science & Arts scored its 11 runs on 12 hits and committed one error while Mid-America Christian tallied its two runs on five hits with one miscue.
  • Most of the MACU hits came off the bat of Kisbel Vizcaya, who slashed 3-for-4 with a triple and a run scored.
  • Emylee Campbell finished the contest by going 1-for-2 with a double from the plate as she also scored a run and notched one of MACU's two RBIs.
  • Isabel Ray was the only other Evangel to tally a hit, batting 1-for-3 with an RBI.
  • It was a tough outing in the circle for MACU's ace Chana Wolfe as she suffered the defeat in a complete game outing to fall to 5-4 on the year.

GAME SUMMARY

  • Mid-America Christian put together a massive threat of its own in the bottom of the first as the Evangels loaded the bases on back-to-back singles by Emylee Campbell and Faith Kelley to go with a Serena Rodriguez walk. However, the Drovers were able to limit the damage to just one run on Heidi Noisey's RBI groundout that glanced off the third baseman to short as Campbell scored to make it a 2-1 game.
  • The Drovers continuously pulled away over the course of the game as Sierra Selfridge's two-run blast to left extended the lead to 4-1 in the top of the third before Shaylann Grace hit an RBI double to right center to make it 5-1 in the fourth.
  • USAO managed to put the game out of reach with a three-run top of the fifth off an RBI single by Leighanne Eaton and a two-RBI double by Taylor Cronic before Grace wrapped up the scoring in the top of the sixth with a solo shot to left to wrap-up the 9-1 final.
