Five minutes later, JBU found the opener after a good finish from inside the box. The Evangels continued to struggle to get out of their defensive end as the second came from Addie Craig in the 22nd minute.
    • MACU forced its first save out of the JBU goalkeeper in the 25th minute with the chance coming from Morgan Higgins. A positive spell for the Evangels after a few substitutions came in to give the team a bit of life. The Evangels earned a few corner kicks which provided a golden opportunity from six yards out from Brae Baker who was unable to convert.
    • The Golden Eagles tacked on a third just before the halftime break in the 40th minute after a brilliant individual run from Julia Lambert beating three Evangel defenders and finding the back of the net for a 3-0 first half lead.
  • Second Half
    • MACU looked much more competitive to open the second half as Mikayla Van Blaricom found a few open chances in the first five minutes from just outside the box, but both drifted wide of the post.
    • Julia Lambert scored her second of the contest in the 71st minute to put the final exclamation point on it for JBU. The Evangels looked for an immediate response as Korbyn Baker's shot off a set piece forced a good reaction save from the goalkeeper. But it was too late for the Evangels to mount a significant comeback and fell in a 4-0 result.
