OKLAHOMA CITY – The MACU Women's Basketball team is set for its third game in five days as the Evangels host crosstown rival Southwestern Christian on Monday night tipping off at 5 p.m. inside the Gaulke Activity Center.

  • Mid-America Christian have won four consecutive games to improve to 12-3 in Sooner Athletic Conference play and sit joint second, remaining just one game back of the top spot held by Langston.
  • Junior forward Caitlynn Jordan leads the Evangels in scoring and rebounding averaging 13.8 ppg and ranks top five in the SAC with 7.5 rebounds.
  • Mia Smith is currently top three in the SAC with 69 assists. She also led the Evangels in scoring with 15 points and four assists in the win against College of the Ozarks on Saturday afternoon.
  • MACU continues to rank top three in offensive statistics averaging over 70 points per game on 41.2% from the field and 33.6% from behind the arc. The Evangels have also increased their 3-pt shooting averaging 8.5 made per game.
  • MACU continues to dominate at the defensive end, forcing an average of 20 turnovers a game off 10.5 steals and 3.5 blocks. The Evangels allow the fewest points against with 57.1.

  • Southwestern Christian have lost six consecutive games as the Eagles lost to Langston on Saturday afternoon to fall to 5-10 in Sooner Athletic Conference play sitting tied for eighth, the final playoff spot.  
  • The Eagles are led offensively by Senior forward Kaydrin Scott who averages a team-high 15.4 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game. Scott tallied a double-double in the loss to the Aggies recording 21 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
  • SCU rank around the middle in offensive statistical categories averaging 64 points per game on 38.1% from the field. However, the Eagles are an excellent defensive team allowing just 60.7 points against while forcing over 19 turnovers, 11.2 steals, and 3.5 blocks a game.
  • Mid-America Christian hold a dominant all-time record against SCU at 35-9 winning four consecutive against the Eagles. The Evangels won a close one at 62-57 against the Eagles in their first meeting on Nov. 20^th in Bethany, Okla. Caitlynn Jordan led all scorers with 18 points while grabbing nine boards.
