OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 14 MACU Baseball won a pair of games on Tuesday afternoon against Randall in midweek non-conference actions as Head Coach
Brett Stanton notched his 200
th win with the Evangels in the 8-2 Game one win. MACU left it late in game two with a 9-6 victory at the MACU Baseball Field.

GAME SUMMARY
- MACU got straight to work in the first inning with consecutive home runs from Jalen King and Nick Hill. Adam Hanan doubled down the left field line, then Frankie Giacalone hit the third homer in the first inning to score both runs for a 4-0 early lead.
- Randall got on the board in the third inning with a two-out RBI double to score the leadoff walk. The Saints had both runners in scoring positions, but the final out came on a ground out to leave two runners on base.
- The Saints rallied again in the fourth with a runner rounding to third after a walk and advanced on wild pitch. An RBI ground out scored Randall's second run. Three straight walks loaded the bags, but Gabriel Dixon stepping into the jam and escaped with a huge strikeout to end the inning.
- Cole Krepcik hit a lead off homer in the bottom half of the fourth as Krepcik hit his first jack of the season and a new season-high fourth of the game to lead 5-2.
- The Evangels tacked on three more in their last at bats in the sixth with a leadoff walk and sacrifice bunt that advanced the pinch runner Dyson Kinnaman to second. Sammy Hallada singled up the middle to score Kinnaman from second. Nick Hill stepped back up and slammed his second homer of the game this time scoring a pair of runs for an 8-2 run-away win.
GAME NOTES
- MACU dominated game one with a 12-5 hit margin over Randall. The Saints also committed two errors to the Evangels' zero.
- In a designated bullpen game, Andrws Acosta got the start on the mound and pitched a two-hit, one-run three innings. Jace Reid came in to pitch .2 innings. Gabriel Dixon followed for 2.1, allowing three hits with two strikeouts. Then Liam Taft came in to close the final innings and retired all three batters he faced.
- The Evangels had one of their best offensive performances of the season by setting a new season-high five home runs in one game. Nick Hill batted 2-3 with two homers and a team-high three RBIs. Cole Krepcik went 3-3 from the dish with a home run as well. Jalen King hit his first homer of the season, followed by Frankie Giacalone with a solo home run to hit number seven on the season.

GAME SUMMARY
- Game two saw the Saints hit first with an RBI single after getting a leadoff man on base on balls. A steal and a wild pitch got the runner to third and eventually home on the hit for a quick 1-0 lead.
- MACU quickly snatched the lead back in its batting turn in the opening inning with a lead off triple from Sammy Hallada. Jalen King began his perfect batting game with an RBI single to score Hallada. Nick Hill and Frankie Giacalone reached base on walks. This brought up Tuane Cope he singled to left field to score King, but Hill was thrown out at home looking to tack on a third run. The Evangels settled for a 2-1 advantage after the first.
- Randall quickly took the lead back with a leadoff homer to start the second inning. After consecutive fly outs, a single up the middle put a man on first. A follow-up double scored the first run from first, then an RBI single gave the Saints a 4-2 lead.
- The Evangels equalized again in the third as once again Nick Hill was called upon and delivered with a two-run home run to score Jalen King after a leadoff single. MACU took the lead in the third as well after the Evangels loaded the base with Cole Krepcik's single and consecutive walks. Conner Thompson grounded out to the shortstop by credited the RBI as Krepcik scored from third.
- MACU scored an insurance run in the fourth as once again King reached base with a single to left field. Giacalone singled to centerfield as King scored from second after advancing on Hill's at-bat. King scored his third run of game two to give MACU a 6-4 lead.
- The Saints rallied in the top half of the fifth with three walks to load the bags. A fourth walk scored the fifth run, but Laven Zeier came in relief and pulled the Evangels out of the bases loaded jam by retiring the final batter.
- Randall equalized in its next at-bat as once again the Evangels walked a pair of batters for two early base runners. An RBI single through the right side of the MACU defense scored the sixth run to square it up.
- With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Jalen King doubled to left field in search of a late rally. Up stepped the SAC's leader in home runs Nick Hill who hammered his fourth of the day and second of the game to put MACU back up 8-6. Giacalone doubled to right center after the homer and just barely missed a homer himself. Then Krepcik scored Giacalone with an RBI single to right field and a 9-6 lead.
- Angel Miranda made his second appearance of the season coming back from injury and closed out the seventh inning. After retiring the first two batters, Miranda conceded consecutive walks. However, he forced a groundout to end the game and secure the 9-6 MACU win.
GAME NOTES
- MACU one-upped its game one hit total with 13 hits in game two to Randall's six. Both teams committed one error each.
- Byron Madero started on the mound and pitched the first two innings. Jayce Moore came in relief and struck out six batters in 2-2 innings. Laven Zeier got his first appearance of the season and went for .2 innings. While Angel Miranda sealed the deal with the win in 1.2 innings of work on a pair of strikeouts.
- Nick Hill hammered two more baseballs out of the park in game two, bringing his daily total to four and season total to 13. Jalen King was perfect from the dish at 4-4 with a double and scoring a team-high four runs. Frankie Giacalone and Cole Krepcik also had multiple hits in game two.
- Mid-America Christian holds a dominant 38-8 all-time record against Randall as the Evangels have now won 15 consecutive over the Saints.
