Megan Janda Joins Volleyball Program as Assistant Coach

OKLAHOMA CITY – The MACU Volleyball team is proud to announce that Megan Janda has joined the program to serve as its new Assistant Coach going into the 2026 season.

"I am thrilled to welcome Coach Janda to our program," stated MACU Volleyball Head Coach Holly McKamie. "We have coached together for the past eight years at the club level and I have seen firsthand her commitment to helping athletes reach their potential. Her knowledge of the game, particularly in defensive systems and mental training, along with her ability to build meaningful relationships with players will help elevate our program to new heights. Coach Janda's passion for developing student-athletes makes her an outstanding addition to MACU Volleyball."

Janda brings a wellspring of coaching experience to the Evangels, serving as the 13 and 14-year-old teams for the Oklahoma Charge. She guided the 13's group to a USAV Nationals Third-Place showing in 2023 as well as a Mid-East National Qualifier Champion in 2021. In 2024, Janda coached the 14's group to a Lone Star National Qualifier Championship.

"I am honored and excited to join the MACU coaching staff," said Janda. "Volleyball has given me incredible opportunities to grow as a coach, leader, and person, and I am grateful for the chance to invest in the next generation of student-athletes. I am especially excited to continue coaching alongside Coach McKamie, whose passion and commitment to developing young women has created our solid foundation over our past eight years coaching together."

On-top of coaching at the club level, Janda also has experience coaching at the high school level, serving as the Assistant Coach for the Bishop McGuinness High School Girls Volleyball varsity team since 2022, helping lead the Fighting Irish to the 2023 5A State Championship. Before that, Janda was the Head Coach of the Bishop McGuinness junior varsity from 2018-21.

"My mission is not only to help young women reach their potential on the court, but also to mentor and encourage them in their faith journey as they grow into strong, confident leaders," Janda added. "I look forward to serving the MACU community and helping build a program that pursues excellence in competition, character, and Christ-centered purpose."

Janda is the third Assistant Coach to serve under McKamie since she became the program's head coach prior to the 2020 season. Over the last six years, the Evangels have amassed a 135-81 (.625) overall record, including a 76-38 (.667) mark in Sooner Athletic Conference play. McKamie has pushed MACU to be one of the premiere programs in the SAC, finishing in the top four of the league in each of the last five years, winning the NCCAA Central Region Championship three times (2021, 2023, 2025) as well as making it to six-straight NCCAA National Tournament appearances, including a pair of NCCAA National Finalist finishes (2021, 2023).

The Evangels will officially open the 2026 campaign at the HTU Rams Fall Classic in Austin, Texas on Aug. 20 with a doubleheader against Huston Tillotson (Texas) and Health Sciences and Pharmacy (Mo.).
