Frensly Leito is entering his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the MACU Baseball program heading into the 2025 campaign.

Leito joined the MACU coaching staff prior to the start of the 2024 season where he primarily served as the Evangels' first base coach. In his first year on the staff, the Evangels put together their best season in program history as MACU wrapped up the year with a 41-13 overall record while capturing both the its first SAC Championship with a 20-4 league mark. Mid-America Christian also captured its first SAC Tournament title after defeating No. 22 Oklahoma City 12-6 at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha, Oklahoma on May 7. 

As a result, MACU earned its first ever bid to the NAIA Tournament and picked up its first NAIA tourney win in a 5-4 victory over Oklahoma Wesleyan on May 14 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Outside of MACU, Leito teaches private pitching lessons to all youth age groups.

Leito made his return to the MACU baseball program after putting together a legendary career with the Evangels from 2020-22. Over the course of his three-year MACU career, Leito finished his Evangels tenure as the program's NAIA Era (2008-present) record holder for earned run average (ERA) at 2.09 and opponent batting average (.191) while also posting the second-lowest WHIP ratio (1.08), fifth-most strikeouts (179) and tossed the second-most complete game shutouts (3).

On-top of being named an NCCAA Second Team All-American in 2022, the Curacao native was named a two-time All-SAC First Team honoree in 2021 and 2022.

In a 13-0 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha, Oklahoma on Mar. 4, 2022, Leito tied MACU's single game strikeouts record as he punched out 17 batters in the seven-inning, three-hit shutout. Leito was one of the most important pieces for a MACU baseball team that earned its first ever NCCAA World Series bid while throwing 3.2 innings in MACU's first ever World Series win by a score of 19-10 over Carolina on May 21, 2022.

Leito came to MACU following a two-year pitching career at Western Oklahoma State, where he tossed 64.1 innings over two seasons.

During the summer of 2022, Leito pitched for the Curacao National Team that won the Caribbean Cup as Leito threw four shutout innings with eight strikeouts against Peru.
