Appeared in 42 games and made 34 starts ... batted for a .216 average with five doubles, a triple, three home runs with 16 RBIs and 27 runs ... went 3-for-5 with a double and a homer to finish with a season-high three RBIs and a pair of runs scored in a 12-4 win at Randall on Apr. 12 ... reached base four times after going 2-for-3 with a triple, two walks and a pair of runs scored as well as a clutch RBI in a 9-7 win over Central Baptist in the season-opener on Feb. 5.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2020)
Saw action in 24 games and made 20 starts ... hit for a .219 average with three doubles, a triple and two homers for 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored ... recorded four multi-hit games ... batted 2-for-4 with a double and home run to drive in three RBIs and score two runs in a 15-9 win over Houston-Victoria on Feb. 7 ... went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs in a 27-5 win over Bacone on Feb. 20 ... appeared in three games as a pitcher ... recorded a 14.54 ERA over 4.1 innings ... tossed two scoreless innings of relief, allowing only one hit and struck out one in a 7-2 win over Bethany on Feb. 1.

Played for Hondo High School ... was an All-District pitcher selection and was named an Under Armor Preseason All-American in 2017 ... won several state awards as a musician in high school as well as selected to the National Honor Society.

Son of Rubin and MaryAnn Fernandez ... majoring in Biology and Ministry Leadership ... plans to attend med school after graduation ... enjoys watching and playing baseball, drumming, playing piano, hanging out with family and playing on the worship team in his free time.
