Tim Wade is entering his third season as the Pitching Coach for the MACU softball team for 2023.
In his first two seasons, Wade has mentored some of the best pitchers in program history, which include 2021 NCCAAÂ Central Region Player of the Year Katie Long, 2022 NCCAA Central Region Player of the Year Rachel Eggleston and three-time NCCAA All-American Regan Martin.
During the 2021 season, the Evangels won their first ever NCCAA National Championship as the MACU pitching staff put together a dominant performance at the NCCAA nationals, tossing three consecutive shutouts before coming away with a 3-2 eight-inning victory over Concordia-Ann Arbor (Mich.) on May 20. The MACU pitching staff was especially dominant over the course of the year, finishing with a program-record low 1.57 ERA and tallying a record-best 278 strikeouts.
MACU made another appearance in the NCCAAÂ National Championships in his second year while mentoring two first-year starters in Eggleston and Avery Schneringer.Â
