For the first time in a decade, the MACU Women's Basketball team will be welcoming in new leadership to take over the reins of the program, as Mid-America Christian is proud to announce Scott Morris as its next head coach for the 2025-26 season. With a legendary basketball resume, Morris bring more than 30 years of collegiate and high school coaching experience to MACU.

Morris put together an incredible 19-year coaching career with the Northern Oklahoma College - Enid women's basketball team from 2001 to 2020, amassing an astounding 460-154 (.752) overall record. Overall, Morris guided the Jets to 17 consecutive 21-plus win seasons, nine conference championships and four National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament appearances, including making it to the final four in 2011.

During his tenure at NOC-Enid, Morris had the opportunity to mentor 13 NJCAA All-Americans and 71 NJCAA Academic All-Americans, including two team NJCAA Academic National Championships. Morris was selected as the NJCAA Region II/COAC Coach of the Year. In his 19-year tenure, Morris stated that every two-year player in his program left with a conference championship, a national tournament appearance, or an Academic National Championship.

Before joining the Jets, Morris spent six seasons coaching at the collegiate level, including two seasons from 2000-02 as the women's assistant coach at NOC-Tonkawa, two seasons from 1999-00 as the men's assistant coach at Oklahoma Christian, and two years as the men's assistant coach at NOC-Tonkawa from 1993-95.

Morris also coached eight years at the high school level, most recently serving a five-season stint at Stillwater High School from 2020-25, where he coached the boys' team for four seasons and one year as the girls' head coach.
