Anthony Yousey

Anthony Yousey is entering his fifth season as the head coach of the MACU women's soccer program heading into the 2025 campaign.

Yousey led the Evangels to new heights in the 2024 season as MACU captured a share of its first ever Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title, wrapping up the year with a 14-4-2 overall record and went 8-1 in league play. As a result, the Evangels received their first ever bid to the NAIA National Tournament.

MACU picked up some massive results over the course of the 2024 campaign, opening the year on Aug. 29 with a 2-1 victory over Red River Athletic Conference Champion LSU Shreveport at the Dill Soccer Field before battling back to force a 1-1 draw at No. 10 Columbia (Mo.) on Sept. 18.

On Oct. 8, the Evangels made a massive statement by picking up a 2-0 victory over No. 19 John Brown at the Dill, marking just MACU's second win ever over the NAIA powerhouse program with the last coming in 2011.

During the 2023 season, the Evangels put together one of their best years in program history as MACU wrapped up the campaign with a 16-3-2 overall record while placing fourth in the SAC standings with a 6-1-2 league mark. The 16 wins is tied for the most the team has notched in a single year in program history. MACU also qualified for the NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida and dropped a hard-fought 1-0 defeat to eventual national champion Grace (Ind.) before closing out out pool play with a dominant 5-1 victory over Redeemer (Canada).

In 2022, MACU closed out the season with a 6-10-2 overall record and for the fourth straight year, the Evangels finished in the top four of the Sooner Athletic Conference standings, placing in a tie for third with a 5-2-2 conference record.

During the 2021 season, his first at the helm, Yousey guided the Evangels to an 11-9 overall record as well as an appearance in the NCCAA Division I National Championships. Under Yousey, the program won its fifth NCCAA Central Region Championship after defeating Central Christian 2-1 on Nov. 19. The Evangels also put together another stellar showing in Sooner Athletic Conference play, finishing fourth in the SAC standings with a 6-3 league mark.

Yousey's best season with OBU came during the 2016 campaign, leading the Bison to a 14-9-2 overall record while winning the Great American Conference regular season title with a 5-1 league record. During that campaign, Yousey guided the Bison to an NCCAA Central Region Championship, defeating Southwestern Christian (Okla.) in the championship match 4-2 in the postgame shootout after playing to a 1-1 draw in Lakewood, Colo. on Nov. 18, 2016.

At the 2016 NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, Fla., Oklahoma Baptist defeated Houghton College (N.Y.) 7-4 on Nov. 29 to advance to the semifinal round before falling in a rematch to the eventual national champion SCU squad by a score of 5-3 on Dec. 2.
