Johanna Behrens is entering into her second season as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the 2024 season while also sharing coaching duties with Assistant Coach Nate Holladay for the Reserve Team.
Last season, Behrens was a part of a coaching staff that helped lead the 2023 MACU Women's Soccer program to one of its most successful in program history as the Evangels wrapped up the season with a 15-4-2 overall record while going 6-1-2 in Sooner Athletic Confrence play. The 15 wins is tied for the second-most victories in a single season in program history while MACU also made an appearance in the NCCAA National Championships, including picking up a 5-1 win over Redeemer in pool play on Nov. 29.

Behrens returned to her alma mater after competing with the Evangels in the 2020 and 2021 seasons and was one of the best passing attackers to ever compete with the program. In her two years at MACU, Behrens netted four goals and dished out 14 assists, tying the sixth-most career assists in program history while her nine assists during the 2020 campaign is tied for the fourth-most in a single year in the MACU record book.
Before coming to MACU, Behrens spent a redshirt season at NCAA DI Grambling State in 2019 after competing for Barton Community College (Kan.) for two years, scoring 10 goals and tallying seven assists in 32 matches with the Cougars.
A native of Bochum, Germany, Behrens served as a 7U coach in her home country during 2015-16 before beginning her collegiate playing career in 2017.
