Nate Holladay is making his way into his fourth season as the Assistant Coach with the MACU women's soccer program for 2025 while also serving as one of the coaches for the MACU women's soccer reserve team.
During the 2024 campaign, the Evangels reached a new level of success as MACU won its first ever Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title after closing out the year with a 14-4-2 overall record and went 8-1 in SAC play. MACU also qualified for its first ever NAIA National Tournament appearance.
Holladay was an instrumental piece in the team putting together one of its best seasons in program history in 2023 as the Evangels closed out the campaign with the second-most wins in a single season in program history with a 15-4-2 overall record while going 6-1-2 to finish fourth in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
MACU was selected as the Central Region representative for the NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida while picking up a 5-1 victory over Redeemer on Nov. 29 in pool play. The Evangels were also the only team to not be defeated by undefeated SAC Champion No. 10 John Brown during the regular season as MACU battled the Golden Eagles to a 0-0 draw in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on Oct. 21.
In his first season as the program's assistant, the Evangels amassed a 6-10-2 overall record and finished in the top four of the Sooner Athletic Conference for the fourth straight year, placing in a tie for third with a 5-2-2 league mark.
In his role with MACU, Holladay is primarily tasked with scouting and day-to-day operations, while utilizing his extensive experience as a goalkeeper toward coaching the Evangels' keepers.
A Norman, Okla. native, Holladay came to MACU after serving as a Physical Therapist Technician for Therapy in Motion out of Norman. Holladay pursued a career in physical therapy after a collegiate soccer playing career at NCAA Division I UNC-Asheville.
In his two seasons with the Bulldogs, the goalkeeper appeared in three matches and two starts, amassing a 1-1 record and a 1.66 goals allowed average while making eight saves on a .667 save percentage.
In his two years at UNC-Asheville, Holladay also served as a campus recreation worker, where he promoted, coordinated and participated in student intramural events while also becoming CPR/AED certified.
Holladay served as the Goalkeepers Coach for Sporting Oklahoma from 2021 to 2023 and currently serves as the Goalkeepers Coach for Oklahoma Celtic and also served as the Assistant Coach for the Norman High School girls' soccer team in 2021 and served as Assistant Coach and Goalkeepers Coach for Norman North High School boys and girls soccer in 2024.
During his high school playing career at Norman High School, the team captain helped lead the Tigers to the 2018 6A State Tournament as well as competed for the Oklahoma Energy FC Central '00 club team.
