MACU Loses First Game of the Year

Nov. 9, 2007

11.9.07 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Evangels lost their first game of the season Friday, Nov. 9, against the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs. The Bulldogs defeated the Evangels 77-51.

"We did not play well," Head Coach Willie Holley said. "We struggled getting into an offense and our shooting percentage shows."

The Evangels took the lead in the beginning of the first half, but were unable to prevent a big Bulldog scoring run. Jarvis Christian led MACU 35-24 at halftime.

MACU played catch up the entire second half and continued to struggle offensively. The Bulldogs stretched their lead past twenty points mid-way through the second half and the Evangels could never recover.
