4.22.08 - LUBBOCK, Texas - The Mid-America Christian University Evangels finished in 12th place in the National association of Intercollegiate Athletics Region VI Tournament, held at the Hillcrest Golf Course in Lubbock, Texas.

In the opening round, the Evangels shot a team score of 335, but still had another 18 holes to play on the day. Freshman Tyler Montgomery shot an opening round 79, while Junior Ryan McCabe and Freshman Cody Flynn shot an 84. Junior Sophomore Shepherd finished with an 88, and Freshman Bryce Lawrence contributed a 91.

The second round was played on the same day as the first round. MACU lowered its team score by three strokes. McCabe rebounded from an 84 and shot a 76, while Montgomery finished the day with am 80. Shepherd completed the round with an 87, and Flynn produced an 89. Lawrence shot a 91.

In the final round, MACU continued to improve with a team score 331, but finished in 12th place. Shepherd shot a team high 79, while McCabe finished the tournament with an 82 and tied for 53. Montgomery shot an 84, and finished the tournament tied for 56. Flynn shot an 86, while Lawrence contributed an 87.
