5.23.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Noble graduate James Wiginton to play men's golf for the 2008-2009 season.

Wiginton, a 17-year-old graduate of Noble High School, was a three-time state qualifier for the Noble Bears. Wiginton will compete for a top five spot on the MACU Evangel golf team.

"James is a very mature young man and a great student. His golf potential is unlimited," MACU Head Men's Golf Coach Markus Crandall said. "He has only played golf competitively for three years and is making great progress, qualifying for the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association state tournament three times. He will bring a great work ethic and strong Christian leadership into our program."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
