2.21.09 - Siloam Springs, Ark.- Karina Trindade led the Lady Evangels with 16 points and 12 rebounds, her sixth double-double of the year. She capped off the afternoon with six steals. Nevertheless, it wasn't enough to get past Sooner Athletic Conference opponent John Brown University, losing by a final score of 63-48 on Saturday afternoon at Murray Sells Arena.

The Lady Evangels, 11-19 on the season and 4-16 in SAC play, shot 45 percent from the free throw line, 33 percent from the field and 26 percent from behind the arc.

"Today wasn't the best performance we have had all season," women's basketball coach Markus Crandall said. "We looked fatigued throughout the game but it was our seventh game in 10 days. We never gave up but we just couldn't get the ball to fall in the basket."

The Lady Evangels look to bounce back on Thursday when Oklahoma Christian University comes to the Gaulke Activity Center at 6 p.m.
