Dallas, Texas -- The Mid-America Christian Lady Evangels used a stifling defensive effort to down Paul Quinn College (Texas) 51-40 in their season-opener Thursday night (Nov. 3) in Dallas, Texas.

"Even though we turned the ball over too many times and missed free-throws, we played good enough defense to come away with a big win on the road in a crazy environment," head coach Roman Owen said.  "I'm proud of their effort."

The Lady Evangels will remain on the road and play at Tabor College on Monday evening (Nov. 7) at 6 p.m. in Hillsboro, Kan.
