Lubbock, Texas -- The Mid-America Christian Evangels rallied for four runs in the seventh inning to defeat the No. 5-ranked Lubbock Christian Chaps 10-9 in the first game of a doubleheader Friday afternoon (Mar. 25) in Lubbock, Texas. The Chaps then got even with the Evangels in the second game with a 25-1 win.
The Evangels trailed 9-5 heading to the sixth of the opener when
Adrian Bravo-Carmona homered to make it a three-run game.
In the seventh, the first two Evangels reached base to set up
Luis Martinez' game-tying three-run homer.

David Wynn for the go-ahead score.
The Chaps didn't go quietly in the ninth and put the tying run on third base and the potential winning run on second with only one out against reliever

After an intentional walk to load the bases, Lopez induced a game-ending double play to pick up his third save of the season for the Evangels.

Derek Allen came on in relief of starter Ivan Juvera and pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to get the win.
