Lemos, Jiminian power Evangels to convincing 11-1 win over Hillsdale

Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Jon Jon Lemos hit a two-run homer and Emmanuel Jiminian tripled twice and drove home two runs to lead the Mid-America Christian Evangels to a 11-1 rout of the Hillsdale College Saints in non-conference action Monday afternoon (Apr. 18) at Evangel Field in OKC.

The Evangels didn't waste any time getting the bats going as Eridani Dume led off the bottom of the first with a double and scored on a single by Jeff Eubank.

Two more runs scored that inning before Jiminian finished off the first with a two-run triple that made it 5-0.

The second inning featured more of the same as an RBI double by David Rhoads plated Eubank for the second run of the inning and the seventh run overall.

Jiminian then hit his second triple in the third and scored the eighth run on an RBI groundout by Joe Moore.

After the Saints got on the board with an RBI single by Holden Collins in the top of the fourth, the Evangels answered right back on a two-run blast by Lemos for a 10-1 advantage.

Kevin Parsons finished up the scoring with a double that brought home Trent Daniels in the bottom of the sixth.

The game was halted after seven innings due to the run rule.

Ryan Urban got the win for MACU with five effective innings on the hill, allowing only one run and striking out two.

Matt Owen pitched the final two frames for the Evangels and held the Saints hitless with three strikeouts.

In addition to Lemos and Jiminian, Eubank went 2-of-3 with an RBI and three runs scored, while Collin Greuter was 2-of-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Dume went a perfect 2-of-2 at the plate and scored twice.
