Roman Owen has announced that Marcus Moeller will be joining his staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

"Also, his experience in recruiting will be welcomed greatly and I have no doubt that he will do a wonderful job with the other aspects of this program."
Prior to his coaching at MSSU, Moeller had a successful playing career at Ozark Christian College in Joplin where he played in all 147 games over a four-year span. Moeller, a two-year captain, averaged eight points and five assists while helping lead the Ambassadors to a 24-16 record his senior season.
"I am humbled at the opportunity to join the women's basketball program at Mid-America Christian," Moeller said.
"As a player and person, I have always had a tremendous amount of respect for Roman. His vision for this program is something I cannot wait to be a part of."
Moeller earned a three-year associate's degree in Christian Education from Ozark Christian College in 2008 and a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Missouri Southern in May 2011. Moeller will begin work on his Master's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science (with an emphasis in Sports Administration) in the fall of 2011.
