Bartlesville, Okla. -- The Mid-America Christian Evangels' season came to an end Friday afternoon (May 13) at the NCCAA South Central Regional tournament after losing to the tournament host Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles for the second time in as many days, 3-0 Friday afternoon (May 13) in Bartlesville, Okla.
The win gives the Eagles the tourney championship and advances them to the NCCAA National Tournament next week in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Pedro Perez pitched a complete game for the Evangels, but didn't get enough run support to pull out the victory.
A win over the Eagles would have forced a game tomorrow afternoon for the tourney title.
Earlier in the day,
David Wynn helped the Evangels stay alive by striking out 15 batters in a 5-1 victory over the Central Baptist Mustangs.
