Jeff Eubank named All-SAC second-team performer

Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Fresh off of helping the Mid-America Christian Evangels make their first-ever appearance in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament, junior outfielder Jeff Eubank has been named to the All-SAC squad as a second-team selection, the league announced Saturday afternoon (May 7).

Eubank was a huge spark plug in a solid Evangel hitting attack, posting team-highs in batting average (.392), runs (44), doubles (17), total bases (107) and on-base percentage (.462).

The Ft. Pierce, Fla. native also ranked second on the team in home runs (10), slugging percentage (.699) and stolen bases (9).

Eubank's 17 doubles were tied for seventh in the SAC this year.

This is not the first conference recognition for Eubank, as he was also earned SAC Hitter of the Week earlier this season.

Kirk Walker of Oklahoma City was named SAC Player of the Year, while Oklahoma Baptist's Bobby Cox was selected as Coach of the Year.

Eubank and the Evangels will next compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regional tournament, which is set to begin on Wednesday (May 11).
