Oklahoma City, Okla. -- For the second straight year, the Mid-America Christian University Basketball media guide has been awarded with a top-five finish in the combined basketball brochure category in the NAIA-SIDA publication contest.

"We are proud to have our media guides receive national recognition at the NAIA-SIDA convention this summer, MACU Athletic Director Willie Holley said. "This is due to our SID, Levi Convirs, and his hard work."

The guide, which was produced by Convirs and IT members Andy Marks and Jody Allen, finished fourth this year after a third-place showing in 2010.

"I really feel like I work with the best AD and IT department in the country," Convirs said. "Coach Holley is the epitome of a Christian leader and Andy and Jody share my commitment to doing the best job possible for this University."

The MACU basketball season previews also took home two of the top five spots in the Dr. W. Jack Bell Writing Contest, with the men's preview coming in fourth and the women's preview notching a fifth-place finish.
