Lady Evangels to play Exhibition Contest at the University of Tulsa Sunday Afternoon

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels will be playing a high octane exhibition contest at the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 4) at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The TU Golden Hurricane, an NCAA D-I squad that competes in Conference USA, is coming off a 13-15 overall record last year with an 8-8 conference mark and is under the guidance of second-year head coach Matilda Mossman .  The 13 wins were the Golden Hurricane's most since 2006.

MACU head coach Roman Owen is entering his third season at the helm and led the Lady Evangels to a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regional championship in his first year.  This season, Owen's Lady Evangels will be bolstered by the return of a pair of senior All-Conference performers in point guard Parris Price and forward Kourtni Williams.

The Lady Evangels were victorious 71-65 in their season opener last night (Oct. 30) at Bethany College and will kick off their home schedule Friday night (Nov. 2) at 6 p.m. against Central Christian College of the Bible inside the Gaulke Activity Center.
