OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Men's Basketball team will be holding their annual Red/White scrimmage on Thursday night (Oct. 11) at 7 p.m. inside the Gaulke Activity Center.

Fans will get their first look at the 2012-13 MACU Evangels squad as the scrimmage will feature both varsity and junior varsity players.

The cost is absolutely free and it promises to be a night of fun and entertainment for the entire family.

The Evangels will be an exciting team to watch this season with the return of senior NAIA All-American Charlie Shorter, who scored a conference-best 22.1 points per game last season.  Senior point guard Camilo Valencia is also back after finishing fourth in the Sooner Athletic Conference with 4.8 assists a game and ranking second in the league with 2.1 steals per game.

MACU is under the guidance of head coach Willie Holley, who is entering his 40th season at the helm.  Holley has amassed 750 wins throughout his illustrious career, good for second all-time in the NAIA.
