OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University women's basketball head coach
Roman Owen has announced the signing of Arlington, Texas native Tierra Brown for the upcoming 2012-13 campaign.
Brown played for the Mansfield Summit High School Jaguars and helped them win the 2012 state championship. She earned second-team All-District honors and was also an Honorable-Mention selection.
A solid student-athlete, Brown was named to the Academic All-District squad.
"We are very excited to bring a player like Tierra into our program," Owen said. "She brings toughness and hard work everyday to the court. Her experience at Summit high school and winning a state championship will enable her to begin quickly adjusting to college basketball."
She is the daughter of Robert and Teresa Brown and plans on majoring in children's education at MACU.
