Central Oklahoma cruises past Evangels, 12-0

Edmond, Okla. -- Aaron Rosborough shut out the Mid-America Christian University Evangels over 6 1/3 innings to allow the NCAA D-II University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos to cruise to a 12-0 win Wednesday afternoon (Apr. 25) in Edmond, Okla.

Rosborough struck out six and walked only one and was backed by plenty of offensive support, particularly from Austin Rycroft, who was a perfect 4-of-4 at the plate with three RBI.

Rycroft got the Bronchos (31-15) going with an RBI single as UCO scored three runs in the bottom of the first.

The Bronchos added another run in the second before breaking it open with four runs in each the fifth and sixth innings.  Rycroft singled home another run in the fifth before Keegan Morrow tripled home a pair of runs.  Jared Wright then hit a two-run homer in the sixth to cap the scoring.

Kevin Parsons had two of the Evangels five hits on the afternoon.

MACU will next wrap up the regular season by opening a three-game series at Oklahoma Christian Thursday evening (Apr. 26) at 6:30 p.m.  The two schools will then play a doubleheader Saturday afternoon (Apr. 28) starting at 1 p.m. at James Curtis Field on the MACU campus.
