OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Golf and Women's Basketball teams recently spent quality time helping and interacting at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club as part of a community service project in Oklahoma City.

Roman Owen, head coach of both squads, came away with a good impression of the work and impact that was made during the project.

"It was a great opportunity for our athletes to give back to our community," Owen said.

"Spending time at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club was a great experience. Megan Ellis who is the director of the club, always appreciates our athletes taking time to clean the outside and inside of the club along with spending time with young kids who are there a part of an after school program. We feel honored to spend this time with them."
