OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University men's golf head coach Roman Owen has announced the addition of Tyler Kelpine to the squad for next season.

Kelpine played at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Okla. and fared quite well in tournaments he competed in this past summer.

He finished fourth at the Meadow Lake Tournament, sixth at the Trails Tournament, fourth at the Trosper Tournament and came in third at the John Conrad Tournament.

"Tyler is an exceptional young man and I'm very excited to have him as part of our program and university," Owen said.  "He has a bright future as a golfer and his best rounds are in front of him."

The 2012 version of the Evangels are coming off a third place finish at the Central Christian Fall Invite this week and are gearing up to host the second annual MACU Invitational on Sept. 24-25 at Earlywine Golf Course in OKC.
