Shawnee, Okla. -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels will kick off the 2013 Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Tournament by playing the USAO Drovers Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. in the 8/9 matchup, while the Evangels are in the 3/6 game and will face Rogers State University Thursday night (Feb. 28) in the late game at 9:45 p.m. All SAC Tournament games are in Shawnee, Okla. on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University.
The Lady Evangels enter the tourney as the eighth seed and USAO is seeded ninth. The Lady Evangels won both meetings with USAO this season and a third victory would mean a matchup against top-seeded and No. 2-ranked Oklahoma City University Thursday afternoon (Feb. 28) at 2:15 p.m.
The Evangels are the third-seed in the men's tourney and will play the sixth-seeded Rogers State University Hillcats. MACU will be going for its third victory over RSU this season after besting a nationally ranked Hillcats squad twice earlier this season.
