OKLAHOMA CITY -- The No. 6-ranked Rogers State University Hillcats cranked out 23 runs in a doubleheader sweep over the Mid-America Christian University Evangels Saturday afternoon (Mar. 30) at James Curtis Field.

RSU completed the sweep with a 17-1 win in the nightcap as Hector Rivera led the Hillcats offensive attack with a 3-of-4 effort at the plate with three RBI.

The Hillcats jumped on the Evangels with four in the first and then Rivera keyed a three-run third inning with a two-run single.

It was 11-0 when Hamilton Hernandez hit a two-run single to fuel a six-run seventh inning for the Hillcats.

Jesse Baird pitched four innings and struck out seven with no earned runs allowed before giving way to a trio of Hillcat relievers.
