OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Evangels men's basketball program has signed RichMarr Smith for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Smith, an OKC native, prepped at Putnam City High School and helped lead the Pirates to the state tournament all four seasons.

"We're very excited to have a player of RichMarr's character join our basketball team,"  MACU head coach Willie Holley said.

"He can play multiple positions on offense and is a solid defensive player and loves to rebound the ball."

Smith will be joining a program coming off its best season since joining the  NAIA.  The Evangels achieved their first-ever NAIA Top 25 national ranking and their highest finish in the Sooner Athletic Conference, coming in tied for third with USAO with a 9-7 conference record.
