OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University men's basketball head coach Willie Holley has announced the signing of Jerrick Warren for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Warren played point guard at Guthrie (Okla.) High School and was an Oklahoma 5A All-State selection.

"I am excited to have a player with Jerrick's ability and talent to join our program," Holley said.

"Jerrick is a player who can get where he needs to get with the basketball and also get other people involved with the offense.  He is a strong defender who possesses a high basketball IQ."

Warren is joining a program coming off its best season since joining the  NAIA.  The Evangels achieved their first-ever NAIA Top 25 national ranking and their highest finish in the Sooner Athletic Conference, coming in tied for third with USAO with a 9-7 conference record.

MACU also made its 22nd appearance in the NCCAA National Tournament after capturing their 20th NCCAA Central Regional championship.
