OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Evangels have added Tyler Sanders into the fold for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Sanders comes to MACU after being a four-year starter at Edmond North High School.  He earned second-team All-Conference honors and was selected to the McGuinness Classic All-Tournament team.

"I am excited to have a player of Tyler's ability and character as part of our basketball program," head coach Willie Holley said.

"Tyler is a player who can play either the point guard for shooting guard position.  He can handle the ball and will be able to spread the defense for us."

Sanders is joining a program coming off its best season since joining the NAIA.  The Evangels achieved their first-ever NAIA Top 25 national ranking and their highest finish in the Sooner Athletic Conference, coming in tied for third with USAO with a 9-7 conference record.

MACU also made its 22nd appearance in the NCCAA National Tournament after capturing their 20th NCCAA Central Regional championship.
