OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Men's Basketball annual Red/White Scrimmage will take place next Tuesday (Oct. 21) inside the Gaulke Activity Center. It will begin immediately following the JV game against Hillsdale, which starts at 6 p.m.
The cost is absolutely free and promises to be a night of fun and entertainment for the whole family.
The scrimmage will give fans an early look at the 2014-15 Evangels, who feature the returning Sooner Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year and second team NAIA All-America performer Semar Farris, along with five other veterans and a solid group of newcomers.
Legendary head coach Willie Holley, entering his 42nd and final year at the helm, is only 12 victories shy of the 800 mark and is the second winningest coach in NAIA history.
The Evangels finished tied for second in the Sooner Athletic Conference last season, their highest as an NAIA program.
They also missed out on their first ever NAIA National Tournament appearance by one spot but qualified for their 23rd National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tourney berth under Holley.
