MACU built the lead as high as 12 in the first half before settling for a 33-26 lead at the break.
Ashlee Ferguson came out firing in the second half with five quick points to go along with a three by Felicia Foster that stretched the lead to 41-28 in the first four minutes of the stanza.
After the Scots (1-1) came within nine, a trey from Maclayn Massey and a bucket by Lakota Thompson pushed the edge to the biggest of the game to that point at 49-34 with 13:02 left.
The Lady Evangels remained in control and slowly continued to pull away, expanding the lead to as many as 18 on two occasions, with the last being 65-47 on two free throws from Thompson with 5:30 left.
The lead never dwindled below double-digits until the final 18 seconds when two freebies by Carina Jackson created the final margin of victory.
