OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University junior guard Ashlee Ferguson has been named to the Oklahoma Sports Blog's Top Performers of February, the publication released today (Feb. 28).
Ferguson comes in at No. 3 on the list, behind Aminata Fall of Southern Nazarene University and Lynette Holmes of Langston University.
The Colony, Texas native has been solid the entire season, but particularly lit it up this past week with a 40-point performance to lead the Lady Evangels to their fourth straight victory, a 90-75 win at St. Gregory's University last Saturday (Feb. 22) that earned her Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.
Ferguson's 40 points are the most scored by a Lady Evangels since joining the NAIA and are only one shy of the overall school record. Her 15 field goals and nine threes are also single-game overall school marks.
