OKLAHOMA CITY -- The No. 20-ranked Texas Wesleyan University Rams blanked the Mid-America Christian University Evangels 16-0 in the third game of a three-game series today (Mar. 10) at James Curtis Field.  The game was a makeup date of the postponed outing from Mar. 1.

The Rams jumped on the board first with a run in the second and two more in the third before a three-run double by Jake Howeth powered an eight-run fifth inning that blew the game open.

TWU starter Easton Etter shut out the Evangels on only three hits over seven innings.

In addition to Howeth's three RBI, Jose Martinez, Joel Rickman, Manny Sanchez and Adam Turpin each drove in two runs for the Rams (12-8, 5-1 SAC).

Ryan Moesley, Dustin Carlsward and  A.J. Wilson each had a hit for the Evangels (4-11, 2-4 SAC).

The Evangels will get right back at it with a doubleheader tomorrow afternoon (Mar. 11) at Kansas Wesleyan University beginning at 1 p.m. in Salina, Kan.
