OKLAHOMA CITY -- A trio of Mid-America Christian University Evangels have been named to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-Central Region squad, the organization released today.

Seniors Dustin Carlsward and Robert Santana were second-team honorees, while freshman Ryan Moseley was an honorable-mention pick.

Carlsward was a catalyst for the Evangels' offense all season, leading the team in hitting (.367) and hits (44), while ranking second in on-base-percentage (.424) and slugging percentage (.458).  He also tied for the team lead with 21 RBI on the season.

Santana finished second in the NAIA in strikeouts (127) while limiting the opposition to a .192 batting average.  He led the Evangels' staff with five wins along with a team-best 5.20 earned-run-average.

Moseley put together a solid freshman campaign, hitting .330 along with 15 RBI and a .385 on-base-percentage.

The trio helped the Evangels make significant progress in head coach Mike Brown's third season at the helm, winning 14 games to nearly triple their win total of five from the previous season.
