OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University golf head coach Allen Dukes has announced that Daniel Copeland will be rejoining the program for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

The OKC native enjoyed a stint with the Evangels as a freshman in the 2012-13 campaign, including finishing tied for 33rd overall to help MACU tie a school with a second round team score of 286 at the Southwestern Christian University Invitational (9/5/12).

Copeland played for the Community Christian School Royals and won three Tri-State championships, along with a pair of All-State titles in 2010 & 2012 and a State championship in 2009.

He also earned All-State honors all four years at Community Christian.

"MACU golf welcomes Daniel Copeland back after a short absence," Dukes said.

"Daniel has tremendous potential and compresses the golf ball better than anyone on our roster. We are hopeful that the addition of Daniel will make an immediate impact on the competitiveness of our team in the SAC."

Daniel is the son of Angie and Scott Copeland and he plans to major in Social Studies/History at MACU.
