Ferguson Earns NCCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honor

Greenville, SC -- Just one day after being named the Sooner Athletic Conference and OklahomaSports.Net Player of the Week, Mid-America Christian University senior guard Ashlee Ferguson has now added the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Student-Athlete of the Week to her award collection, the organization announced today (Jan. 6).

Ferguson put together two huge games for the 8-3 Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels with averages of 27.0 points per game, three rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals.

Her most productive game came in a 100-65 victory over Northern New Mexico College that featured a game-high 37 points on 13-of-27 shooting from the floor.

Ferguson's 37 points are the second most in school history (since joining the NAIA) only to her 40 point outing last year (2/22/14) and her 13 field-goal makes are two shy of her 15 last season (2/22/14).

The Colony, Texas native is currently fifth in the SAC in scoring (16.5 ppg) and is second in threes per game (2.9). She also has a team-high 23 steals on the season.
