Chickasha, Okla. -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels fell 70-61 today (Feb. 14) in Sooner Athletic Conference action in Chickasha, Okla.

The Drovers grabbed the lead at the 6:52 mark of the first half and used an 18-4 spurt to build a 10-point lead before settling for a 33-25 edge at the break.

USAO continued to keep the Lady Evangels at bay until Alliyah Spatafora capped a 15-3 spurt with a trey that created a 56-56 gridlock with 7:20 remaining.

But a three by Mahogany Nelms ignited a run of 10 straight points by the Drovers that again stretched the deficit to double-figures at 66-56 at the 3:19 mark.

A three by Ashlee Ferguson and a score inside from Alexia Kelley kept the Lady Evangels alive with 2:01 left, but that's the last time MACU scored and the Drovers made four free throws over the final 23 seconds to put it away.

Kelley posted her 12th double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Evangels (14-9, 7-7 SAC).  Ferguson scored 10 and Spatafora led the way with four assists.
