OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University senior guard Kelli Tolar has been named a first-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection, the league announced today (Mar. 1). Junior forward D'Shala Culberson and sophomore guard Sarai Rodriguez were honorable-mention performers.

Tolar is averaging a team-high 20.0 points per game this season, good for second in the SAC and fifth in the NAIA. Her 20 ppg would be the highest in a single season for the Lady Evangels since joining the NAIA and she is currently 34 points away from tying the total points in a season as an NAIA school. She also scored an overall school single-game record 43 points to lead a victory at USAO (1/26/16).

Culberson leads the Lady Evangels and is fourth in the SAC with nine rebounds per game. Earlier this season, Culberson notched a single-game record (as an NAIA school) 20 boards in a double-overtime victory over John Brown University (1/7/16).

Rodriguez is second on the team in scoring with 16.1 ppg and leads the SAC with 5.4 assists per game. The 5.4 apg would be the highest in a single-season for the Lady Evangels as an NAIA school. She also scored a career-best 32 points on two occasions this year.

Coming up, the Lady Evangels will compete in the SAC postseason tourney starting Thursday morning (Mar. 3) against Southwestern Christian University.
