Miller Selected as OSN Men's Basketball Player of the Week

OKLAHOMA CITY – As the Mid-America Christian University Evangels prepare to make their first-ever NAIA Fab Four appearance tonight (Mar. 21), senior forward Bryon Miller has been selected as the OklahomaSports.Net (OSN) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, released today.

Miller has averaged 21.3 points per game and over seven rebounds a game to lead the Evangels to three NAIA tournament victories and has been the team's leading scorer in two of the three outings.

The Mesquite, Texas native scored 26 points with eight boards in an opening round victory over Park (Mo.) before scoring 21 in an 88-80 win over top-seeded Biola University (Calif.) to snap Biola's NAIA-best 11-game winning streak.

Miller then recorded a double-double of 17 points and 11 boards as the Evangels defeated Cumberlands (Ky.) 77-73 in the NAIA quarterfinals.

Miller is third on the team in both scoring (13.4 ppg) and rebounds (5.7 rpg) this season and is second in threes (82).

The Evangels will face Campbellsville (Ky.) tonight at 6 p.m. in the Buffalo Funds-NAIA National Championship semifinal round.
