KANSAS CITY – Mid-America Christian University senior guard Kelli Tolar has been picked as an honorable-mention NAIA All-America performer, marking the fourth straight season the MACU women's basketball program has received an NAIA All-America selection.
Tolar was the Lady Evangels' leading scorer this season with 19.8 points per game and also hit a team-high 88 threes.
Her points per game average is tops in school history as an NAIA school and her three-point total ranks second.
The San Antonio, Texas native also scored an overall school single-game record 43 points to lead a victory at USAO (1/26/16) earlier this season.
Tolar's production on the court helped the Lady Evangels advance to the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament semifinal round for the first time since the 2008-09 season under first-year head coach Seth Froese.
