OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Women's Basketball Evangels have signed Jennah Coffman for the 2017-18 season.
Coffman is a junior transfer that comes to MACU after competing two seasons for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Okla.
"Jennah is an incredible addition to our program, and we are very fortunate to have a player of her caliber both on and off the basketball court," MACU WBB Head Coach Hannah Moeller said.
"She brings consistent perimeter scoring, a high basketball IQ and the intangibles to fit the culture we are working to establish. She comes from a very elite junior college program where she has played with and against some of the best players across the county the past two years. Evangel fans are going to be excited to watch this dynamic player!"
The 5'9 guard helped NEO advance to the NJCAA National Tournament Sweet 16 on two occasions along with two conference championships and two Region II titles.
Coffman prepped at Jim Ned High School (Texas), where she earned District MVP honors and was a two-time all-state performer and two-time TGCA/TABC all-region selection.
During her sophomore season, Coffman was a first-team all-district pick and was named the Newcomer of the Year.
In the classroom, Coffman's accolades included receiving the Dixie Woodall Inspirational award, being named the Business department's most outstanding student and being a member of the Dean's Honor Roll for two years. She was also a four-time academic all-district member at Jim Ned HS.
Coffman will be joining a program on the rise under Moeller. The Evangels captured their first NCCAA Central Regional championship last season since 2010 and also won 23 games, their most as an NAIA institution.
