GREENVILLE, S.C. – The National Christian College Athletic Association announced its National Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon, and for the first time this spring, the Mid-America Christian University baseball team was represented on the list.

MACU's Antonio Dorado took the NCCAA's SAW award for baseball field players, beating out a list of five other nominees for the award. The honor is the first for Dorado, both of the season, and in his MACU career.

Dorado, a 6-0 senior from Barranquilla, Colombia, hit .444 for the Evangels last week as MACU continued its best start in program history. He doubled twice and belted the Evangels' only home run of the week in a game against NAIA #3 Oklahoma City University. He slugged .722 in five games, and he scored seven runs and knocked in nine more.
