Mid-America Christian (8-2, 3-0 Sooner Athletic Conference) picked up a crucial 75-73 overtime victory at the University of Science and Arts back on Dec. 13 to snap a three-game losing streak to the Drovers. The Evangels led by as much as 10 in the contest and held an eight-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter, but USAO fought back to take a 51-48 lead with 3:17 remaining.
Senior forward Loralei Siliga came up big on back-to-back possessions, knocking down a layup and a three-pointer in-between a pair of Drovers free throws to tie the score at 53. Senior guard Rachel Tapps came up with a big steal on the ensuing possession and senior forward Alexis Shannon knocked down 5-for-6 from the foul line over the final 1:13 to give MACU a 58-56 edge.
