As rain began to fall at the ballpark, Ecclesia scored a pair of unearned runs in the top of the second to cut the gap to 6-3, and another unearned tally in the top of the fourth pulled the Royals within two at 6-4, but in the bottom of the frame, Felix Martinez put the game out of reach.
