MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The Mid-America Christian women's soccer team coming off a record-breaking year offensively picked up right where it left off as Liz Lozano and Joanne Nakirya scored four goals apiece to lead the Evangels to a 12-0 victory at Bacone College on Saturday.

MATCH SUMMARY
· Lozano netted the Evangels' first goal of the season in the eighth minute just moments after her initial shot hit the crossbar to make it a 1-0 MACU lead.
· Lozano pushed across her second goal of the game in the 24th minute before recording an assist on Josie Wiley's first goal with MACU in the 36th minute to send Mid-America Christian into the half with a 3-0 advantage.
· Just over two minutes into the second half, Lozano earned her first career hat trick to become the 20th player at MACU during the NAIA era to score three or more goals in a match.
· A junior transfer from NCAA Division II Southwestern Oklahoma State, Joanne Nakirya went on a scoring outburst by netting four of MACU's six goals over a 17-minute stretch to extend the Evangels' edge to 10-0 with just under 33 minutes remaining.
· Freshman midfielder Samantha Rodriguez capped off the scoring in the 82nd minute, closing out her first match with MACU with a goal and an assist.
MATCH NOTABLES
· It was the sixth-match in the NAIA era (2008-present) that Mid-America Christian scored in double-digits as the 12-goal scoring effort tied the third-most in a single game since defeating Bacone 12-1 on Oct. 10, 2017.
· Liz Lozano became just the seventh Evangel to score four or more goals in a single match. The Aguascalientes, Mexico native finished the game with nine points to produce the third-highest point mark in a single match, sitting only behind current teammate Sylvie Willie and Kaci Power with 10 each.
· Joanne Nakirya made her mark in the MACU NAIA era record book as well, as she became the eighth MACU player to reach the four-goal plateau. Her eight points locks her into a tie for the fourth-most points in a match while her nine shots on-goal is tied for the third-most and her 13 total shots is the fourth-most in a single match.
